Wage board holds ISTIV-Bayanihan Training for PHINMA Foundation
The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board – National Capital Region (RTWPB-NCR) held an online learning session on ISTIV-Bayanihan Training for PHINMA Foundation members and employees last August 24, 2020. This is in collaboration with the National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC) with a primary intent of capacitating micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) that had been severely affected by COVID-19 pandemic—among these challenges included revenue losses, employee layoffs, retrenchments or business closures.
ISTIV (or stands for Industrious, Systematic, Time-conscious, Innovative, and strong Value for work) Bayanihan is a training program and networking intervention for Barangay micro business enterprises / micro enterprises that supports their growth by enhancing the “entrepreneurs’ way of managing the enterprises.” Participants were expected to provide the Board with their action plans taking into consideration the concepts and ideas they learned from the module.
Said productivity program is one of the free services provided by the Board and is included in their productivity improvement programs called “The Productivity Toolbox,” which is a ladderized needs-based approach towards productivity improvement to help transform MSMEs into a more viable and competitive enterprises even during the pandemic.
The Board’s Supervising Labor Employment Officer Merlita R. Cas facilitated the learning session that was participated by 47 attendees. END / Kim Lagcao
