Before they received their livelihood undertaking, beneficiaries were enrolled to an insurance coverage under the GSIS Group Personal Accident Insurance (GPAI) and went through the Social Preparation Training. To ensure the sustainability of the project, the beneficiaries will continue to receive technical and business advisory services.

In her message of support during the awarding ceremony, DOLE-NCR Makati-Pasay Field Office OIC-Director Olivia O. Obrero-Samson hoped that the FreeBis Project would help the beneficiaries in sustaining their livelihood undertaking amid the mobility restrictions due to pandemic.

“Nawa po ang mga bisikletang ito ay magbigay sa inyo ng pag-asa at tibay ng loob para maka-ahon at makapag-simula ng bago sa inyong papasuking hanapbuhay,” said Samson, adding that DOLE-NCR will continue to coordinate with PESO to monitor the status of their livelihood undertaking.
