DOLE-NCR joins Duterte Legacy Barangayanihan Caravan in Manila
 
The Department of Labor and Employment - National Capital Region (DOLE-NCR) through its Manila Field Office (MFO) joined the Duterte Legacy: Barangayanihan Caravan Towards National Recovery on October 28, 2021 at Barangay 28 Covered Court, Tondo, Manila.  
 
The Caravan, organized by the Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) in partnership with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Philippine National Police (PNP), aims to inform the public about the programs, policies, efforts, and accomplishments of the government during President Duterte’s administration. It also aims to bring the basic programs and services of various government agencies closer to the people.
 
In her message, Supervising LEO Ruby Socorro Daquigan of DOLE-NCR Manila Field Office said that the DOLE Integrated Livelihood and Emergency Employment Program (DILEEP) provides qualified beneficiaries in the vulnerable sector of society a livelihood assistance through different entrepreneurial ventures or emergency employment. Eligible beneficiaries who can avail of the program are open to home-based workers, self-employed individuals, displaced workers, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities, among others.
 
From the 45 individuals profiled by MFO during the Caravan, 34 will be placed under the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) while the remaining 11 will be assisted through the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP). 
 
Other participating agencies that offered services were the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Social Security System (SSS), Department of Health (DOH), and Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH).
