DOLE-NCR joins Duterte Legacy Caravan in Manila
DOLE-NCR Manila Field Office (MFO) team led by Director Ma. Corazon M. Pepito (right) together with other participating government agencies set up booths to provide assistance to all the residents of Barangays 105 (Tondo), 377 (Sta. Cruz), 627 (Sta. Mesa), and 726 (Malate) during the “Duterte Legacy: Barangayanihan Caravan Towards National Recovery” in November 2021. MFO identified 121 potential beneficiaries of the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) while 76 under the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP).
 
In November 2021, the Department of Labor and Employment - National Capital Region (DOLE-NCR) through its Manila Field Office (MFO) joined the “Duterte Legacy: Barangayanihan Caravan Towards National Recovery” for the four (4) barangays in the City of Manila.  
 
The Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) organized said activity along with the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) to extend the social amelioration programs and other services of the government. 
 
DOLE-NCR MFO, together with other participating government agencies, set up booths to provide assistance to all the residents of Barangays 105 (Tondo), 377 (Sta. Cruz), 627 (Sta. Mesa), and 726 (Malate).
 
In her message on November 26, 2021 at Barangay 105, MFO Director Ma. Corazon M. Pepito explained the Department’s programs and services, adding that they also provide support to those who have any labor and employment concerns.
 
“Kayo po ang bida dito. Kayo po ang mga masuwerteng beneficiaries na napili ng inyong barangay. Sa mga gusto po makilahok o maging beneficiaries ng DOLE, lumapit lamang po kayo sa aming booth at pumili kung kayo ba ay magkakaroon ng temporary or emergency employment sa pamamagitan ng TUPAD o kayo ba ay nag-iisip magnegosyo o paunlarin ang inyong negosyo,” added Pepito.

During the Caravan, a total of 197 individuals sought the assistance of the labor department. Of the said number, MFO identified 121 potential beneficiaries of the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged/Displaced Workers (TUPAD) while 76 under the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP).
 
Other participating agencies were representatives from the Social Security System, Department of Social Welfare and Development, Bureau of Fire Protection, Philippine Health Insurance Corporation, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority, Department of Agriculture, and Department of Health.
