2022 Independence Day TNK Fair in NCR to offer over 35K jobs
 
Metro Manila, Philippines—Over 35,000 jobs are available on the upcoming Trabaho Negosyo Kabuhayan (TNK) Fair this Independence Day, said the regional office of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in the National Capital Region (NCR).
 
In partnership with the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) and the PESO Association of Metro Manila (PAMM), private sector, and government agencies, the DOLE-NCR’s TNK Fair on June 12 shall continue its hybrid job search method to assist jobseekers who prefer to seek employment opportunities on-site or online.
 
DOLE-NCR’s main site for the face-to-face job fair will take place at the Robinson’s Place, Ermita, Manila beginning 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM. 
 
For those who prefer online job search, the virtual local job fair shall be facilitated in partnership with JobQuest PH through their website at https://jobquest.ph while the virtual overseas job fair will be hosted via website of the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) of the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW) at https://onlineservices.dmw.gov.ph/.
 
The PESO of the City Government of Pasig, Taguig, and Parañaque will also join the nationwide celebration and to respectively hold localized job fairs at Pasig City Sports Complex (June 12); Vista Mall Taguig City (June 12); and at Fortunata Village Clubhouse Gymnasium in Parañaque City (June 14).
 
As of press time, a combined total of 35,403 local jobs are offered by two hundred four direct employers while 1,172 overseas jobs posted by ten licensed recruitment agencies. 
 
For its part, DOLE-NCR is included in the list of participating agencies, offering 2,763 vacancies for Government Internship Program (GIP), while the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) brings in 122 permanent government positions.
 
Among the top local vacancies include customer service staff, sales representatives, marketing executives, restaurant / kitchen crew, construction workers, administrative staff, nurses, bus drivers, bus conductors, engineers, warehouse staff, data encoders, and cyber security analysts.
 
For overseas jobs, majority that are up for grabs include nurses, occupational / physical therapists, dental technicians, chefs, restaurant workers, barista, butchers, careworkers, scaffolders, welders, mechanical engineers, auto mechanic, AC/HVAC technicians, and agriculture workers. Places of assignment will be in Japan, Riyadh, Jeddah, Alkhobar, Croatia, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Jordan, and Kuwait.
 
Also in line with the event, DOLE-NCR recently concluded career and entrepreneurship coaching sessions on June 2 at the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Muntinlupa and on June 7 at Tanghalang Pasigueño in partnership with the respective PESO.
 
Earlier, DOLE-NCR Assistant Regional Director, Atty. Jude Thomas P. Trayvilla led a forum on June 3 to update participating employers on the activity protocols to ensure a safe and COVID-free conduct of the Fair. In his message, he emphasized their valuable contribution in the society by providing sustainable jobs to Filipinos.
 
“Jobs empower citizens and an empowered citizens make an empowered nation. That is how important you [employers] are in nation building. That is how important is this job fair,” he said.
 
“On behalf of our Regional Director, Atty. Sarah Buena Mirasol and our Assistant Regional Director, Atty. Russel Jallorina, our hearts overflow with gratitude for your interest in this activity,” he added.
 
For those who prefer to join the face-to-face job fair, DOLE-NCR also reminds jobseekers to bring their vaccination cards, resumes, and their own pen. On the other hand, those who wish to join the virtual job fair were advised to pre-register through the official website of said official partners.
 
The 2022 Kalayaan Day TNK Fair, with the theme of “Pagsuong Sa Hamon ng Panibagong Bukas,” is in line with the labor department’s overall mandate of promoting gainful employment opportunities.
