DOLE NCR conducts Values Enhancement Seminar for LLCOs

The Labor Laws Compliance Officers (LLCOs) of the Department of Labor and Employment- National Capital Region attend the Values Enhancement Seminar on       April 11, 2017 at the Lay Formation Center, San Carlos Pastoral Complex, EDSA, Guadalupe, Makati City.

This seminar intends to promote values clarification and commitment to positive values among DOLE-NCR personnel from resource persons, namely Mr. Noel Rosario, Mr. Matt Delos Santos, Dr. Gaines Rosario, and Mr. Edgardo Yetyet.

The resource persons shared their     personal life stories, which make the lessons even more relatable to the LLCOs’ lives. One of the resource persons, Kuya Noel, an accountant, taught the lesson of valuing the sacrifices of other people. This was better illustrated by the story of his father, the simple but noble Tatay Berto. Another resource person, Kuya Matt Delos Santos taught the lesson of valuing the family. He shared the story of how his family was wrecked in their relationships, but through God’s grace,  thrived to become strong. Finally, there was the story of Ate Gaines. She shared the lesson of valuing one’s life the way God values it despite of all the insecurities and lies this world might embrace.  Her love story also struck the audience and it came as a surprise that she is the beloved wife of Kuya Noel.

Kuya Edgardo leads the group in activities such as portraying one’s coat of arms and knowing one’s purpose in life. The purpose of which is knowing one’s self better in his/her own perspective and from the perception of other people.

At the end of the day, all participants brought home life lessons from real stories of real people, with a hope that all participants will discharge their functions with great passion and with the heart to serve.END/Mark Avner Acosta
