Labor Day Job Fair Records 2,582 HOTS (Hired-On-The-Spot) in National Capital Region

Matatag na Kabuhayan at Trabaho tungo sa Progresibong Pagbabago, is this year’s theme for the Labor Day Job Fair in seven (7) localities in National Capital Region which posted 2,582 Hired-On-The-Spot (HOTS).

The 2017 Labor Day Localized Job and Business Fair was simultaneously conducted in different venues namely, Robinson’s Mall in Las Piñas City, SM Tunasan in Muntinlupa City, City Hall Basketball Court in Parañaque City, Vista Mall in Taguig City, Valenzuela Astrodome in Valenzuela, Kartilya ng Katipunan, Bonifacio Shrine in Manila, and in Quezon City Hall and Fishermall in Quezon City.

The job fair was flocked by 22,845 jobseekers who were offered with 57,005 job vacancies solicited from 472 employers. Of the job vacancies, 46,650 were local job opportunities and 10,355 were overseas jobs.  Further, 41 employers offered overseas jobs and 431 offered local jobs.  From the total number of jobseekers, 15,503 were considered qualified and 11,843 were considered for further interview.

Pre-employment documentation services were also provided by our partners from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), PhilHealth, the Social Security Services (SSS), and the Home Development Mutual Fund (HDMF) or the PAGIBIG Fund.

For May 2017, jobseekers are invited to take part on the job fairs that will be conducted on May 10, 2017 at the Pasay City Hall Grounds and on May 18, 2017 at the Malabon City Hall Grounds. END/Diana Joyz G. Esguerra
