RTWPB-NCR Forges Pledge of Support with DOLE-NCR for Time and Motion Study and Facility Evaluation

The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board – National Capital Region (RTWPB-NCR) forged an Agreement through a “Pledge of Support” with Department of Labor and Employment – National Capital Region (DOLE-NCR) last July 4, 2017 (Tuesday) at D Circle Hotel, Malate Manila.

The Agreement was intended to increase the capacity and awareness of DOLE - NCR Labor Law Compliance Officers (LLCOs) on the guidelines, procedures and requirements/criteria in the conduct of Time and Motion Study (TMS) and Facility Evaluation (FE). This is to ensure that only qualified establishments can avail of the said services through the checklist provided therein. This engagement is among the convergence programs of RTWPB-NCR and DOLE-NCR to secure higher level of compliance with the General Labor Standards and Occupational Safety and Health Standards, and ensure continuity and sustainability of compliance at workplaces by inculcating a culture of voluntary compliance.

The RTWPB-NCR by virtue of Department Order No. 125-13, Series of 2013, Guidelines on the Conduct of Time and Motion Study and Department Order No. 126-13, Series of 2013, Providing for the Guidelines for the Conduct of Facility Evaluation, was given the jurisdiction over the workplace to conduct TMS and FE upon application filed by qualified establishments in the metropolitan;

The Pledge of Support was signed by DOLE-NCR Assistant Regional Director for Regulatory Cluster Atty. Sarah Buena S. Mirasol and Wage Board NCR - Board Secretary Kim S. Lagcao, duly attested by DOLE-NCR Regional Director and RTWPB-NCR Chairperson Atty. Johnson G. Cañete, DOLE-NCR TSSD Chief Nelia M. Mungcal and Wage Board NCR Attorney IV Atty. Edwin O.
