DOLE-NCR Joins Jobstart Graduation in Pasay

More than 300 beneficiaries of the JobStart Philippine Program graduated from Life Skills Training at the Malibay Center, Pasay City on 28 July 2017. The Life Skills Training is one of the phases of the program that aims to develop the 21st Century Skills of the beneficiaries so as to enhance their capacities in their eventual entry to the world of work.

In the inspirational message of Regional Director Henry John S. Jalbuena, delivered in his behalf by Makati Pasay Field Office Director Andrea Cabansag, skills development and proper work perspective were emphasized as vital characteristics in acing employment. Congressman Karlo Alexei Nograles, the author of the JobStart Law, graced the occasion and delivered the Keynote Message.

The beneficiaries gave intermission numbers in between the speeches of the invited guests. Each performance showcased the talents of the beneficiaries in singing and dancing. The awarding of certificates followed after the presentations wherein special awards were given to selected JobStarters who demonstrated exemplary accomplishment during the training.

Mr. Ryan Roberto E. Delos Reyes, Sr. LEO of TSSD-EPWW delivered the Closing Remarks. He encouraged the beneficiaries to make the most out of the learnings they acquired through the training and use it as their primary tool in overcoming the hurdles they will encounter upon entering the world of work. With Mr. Delos Ryes is Ms. Leila R. Leagyo, Regional Focal Person of JobStart Philippines Program.

The JobStart Philippines is one of the bridging programs that aims to enhance the skills and capacities of the youth so as to narrow the gap in the transition between school to workplace and likewise increase their chances in the labor market.
