400 Students of San Roque NHS armed with better career options

On Friday, August 18, 2017, thru the joint efforts of the Department of Labor and Employment - National Capital Region CAMANAVA Field Office (DOLE-NCR CFO), Department of Education (DepEd), Navotas City Public Employment Service Office (PESO), and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), a total of four hundred twenty one (421) Grade 9 Students were given Career Coaching Orientation in San Roque National High School, Gov. Pascual, Navotas City.

Ms. Glenda Idian, Guidance Counselor of the said school identified the possible career choices suitable to the students based on their personality types as indicated in the RIASEC and Myers-Briggs Tests followed by the presentation of the Key Employment Generators and Top 10 Highest Paying Jobs in the Philippines by Angelica C. Fresnoza, Admin Assistant III, DOLE-NCR-CFO. After which, Mr. Resenio Dipon of Navotas City PESO discussed the PESO Services and Ms. Lorraine Caballero, representative from, Navotas City Manpower Training Center, discussed the different Vocational Training Programs And Courses offered by TESDA Accredited Institutions.

Career Guidance Advocacy Program is another venture of DOLE intended to address Jobs and Skills Mismatch by informing the future jobseekers of their career options, thru easily accessed Labor Market Information (LMI).
