HITC aspires OSH policy for Hospital Industry
 
DOLE QUEZON CITY Field Office—The Hospital Industry Tripartite Council (HITC) held a meeting with representatives of the Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC) to initially discuss the possible creation of an Occupational Safety and Health policy for the Hospital Industry on Wednesday, April 11. 
 
Said meeting was held to intensify the promotion and enforcement of safety and health of all healthcare practitioners. 
 
During said meeting, the group agreed to invite representatives from the Department of Health, Bureau of Working Conditions and hospital / healthcare organizations so as to provide technical assistance in crafting of the policy.
 
In attendance were OSHC representatives Dr. Reynold M. Sta. Ana and Engr. Lawrence C. Blas, HITC Vice-Chair for Labor Sector Willy M. Pulia, and DOLE QCFO Supervising Labor & Employment Officer (LEO) Raymond Benjamin R. Perez with LEOs Eilaine Lou A. Lumagbas and Dale Angeline B. Villafuerte.
 
Succeeding discussions will focus on the assessment of existing OSH-related guidelines and programs including the conduct of consultations from various agencies on OSH concerns arising in healthcare sector. END / Eilaine Lou Lumagbas / IMSD-LCO-2018-04 / GNA18-03
