DTI joins Labor Day celebration through ‘Diskwento Caravan’
 
QUEZON CITY HALL, April 30––some 19 registered exhibitors of the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) joined the ‘Diskwento Caravan’ themed Presyong Panalo Para sa Mamimiling Pilipino in celebration of the Labor Day.
 
Said caravan aims to introduce entrepreneurship and to promote and sell owner’s personally manufactured products at a discounted price.
 
Patrons rushed to the stalls to enjoy a 10 to 20 percent discount on food, clothes, leather goods, accessories and kitchen utensils. 
 
DTI registered participating exhibitors included Liza’s Piayaya, Capellan Deli, Frabelle, Business Innovation, Junex & Vangie, ICG Food Corner, Rasella’s Fashion, Caritas Manila, Inc., Goyang Marikina, Arkifrance Merchandise, Feather’s Dust, Hopewell, Marikina Shoe Caravan, Ana Fe Fashion, JMU Belt Collection, SBM Handmade Herbal Soap, Azulis Bag, James Leathercraft and Moonlight Handicrafts.
 
The top earner among the participating exhibitors was Junex & Vangie, a processed meat seller, whose total sales reached P10,000.00. 
 
Goyang Marikina, a Marikina-made shoe products seller came in second with a total sales worth P9,800.00. 
 
DTI partnered with the Local Government Unit of Quezon City through its Public Employment Service Office and DOLE-Quezon City Field Office. END / Eilaine Lou Lumagbas
