DOLE-NCR echoes ILO’s OSH Investigation Training to Inspectors
 
Following the International Labour Organization's (ILO)-sponsored training on accident investigation, DOLE-NCR held series of echo seminars on various dates to all DOLE-NCR labor inspectors headed by Engineers Fylene O. Gozon, Franco S. Manlulu and Zoren Paul R. Maglalang
 
The activity centered on the proper conduct of accident and disease investigations, including ways to gather and analyze information and identifying relevant data. The training also equipped the participants on the post-investigation matters such preparation of reports and implementation of action plan. 
 
The seminar was lifted from the guide that was formulated by ILO, through a workshop participated by ILO’s Training Centre; representatives from Brazil, Italy, Norway, Portugal, Romania, United Kingdom, and United States of America; technical specialists from the Labour Administration, Labour Inspection, and Occupational Safety and Health Branch of the ILO. 
 
Formulating the guide is part of ILO’s effort to improve the work environment and reduce occupational accidents and work-related illnesses by capacitating the labor inspectors and other individuals that have pivotal roles in the Occupational Safety and Health.
