‘Basketball Clinic’ kicks off for ‘Batang Victory 2018’

VICTORY CENTRAL MALL, Caloocan City––some 145 children of Victory Liner employees and active members of the Bus Transport Industry Tripartite Council (BTITC) enjoyed the 12th year Basketball Clinic held on Tuesday, May 15.

Organized by Victory Liner, Inc., the Basketball Clinic began in 2006 as a marketing strategy, then later, a part of said establishment’s Corporate Social Responsibility. For the past three years, said activity was made possible through their partnership with NLEX Road Warriors.

In her welcome remarks, Vanessa Genese, HR Superintendent said “in order to win, you must always be happy and enjoy what you are doing.”

In behalf of DOLE-NCR Quezon City Field Office Director Lilibeth T. Cagara, Labor and Employment Officer and BTITC Secretariat Ricardo Paolo Francisco with fellow Labor and Employment Officer Eilaine Lou Lumagbas were invited to witness said activity.

Francisco thanked the Victory Liner for its continuous support to the programs and advocacies of the BTITC and its efforts in complying with the mandates of the Department of Labor and Employment.

NLEX Road Warriors' Manager and Coach Allan Gregorio expressed his congratulations to the parents for bringing their children to the activity. Gregorio said that the Basketball Clinic is one way of developing the child and parent relationship, encouraging the parent to interact with their child through structured play. The activity also allowed the children to build camaraderie with fellow basketball players. END / Eilaine Lou Lumagbas / IMSD-LCO-2018-05 / PRMY18-06
