DOLE-NCR hosts 4th PESOMAP Quarterly Meeting

MALATE, MANILA—The PESO Managers Association of the Philippines (PESOMAP) held its 4th Quarter Meeting and Planning on 16-18 December 2018 with the PESO Regional Presidents composed of the Officers and Board of said organization to discuss plans for 2019 activities and initiatives. 

Also in attendance were the personnel of the Bureau of Local Employment (BLE) and  representatives of DOLE Regional Offices. 

In her welcome message, BLE Director Dominique R. Tutay mentioned the initiative of including the PESO institutionalization as pre-requisite and part of the Seal of Good Local Governance that the Department of Interior and Local Government give as recognition. Tutay also discussed matters relating to the development of PESO programs including the budget allocation. 

During the activity, Anna Liza Ragos of BLE presented the PESO Excellence Awards Draft Guidelines, PESO Managers Incentives, and the QMS for their position. The discussions produced a healthy exchange of ideas and insights that aims to recognize the work and contributions of the PESO Managers and the Office itself. Also discussed during the activity is the conduct of the 2019 PESO Congress which is slated to be held in Iloilo City in October. 

The activity is in line with enhancing the delivery of employment programs and services to better serve and facilitate the needs of the labor market. END / Ryan Roberto Delos Reyes
