RTWPB-NCR orients QC-TIPC on its new wage issuance
Quezon City - Tripartite Industrial Peace Council (QC-TIPC) in coordination with DOLE - QC Field Office, led a forum last 18 January 2019 at the Legislative Building, Quezon City Hall, on the new Wage Order of RTWPB-NCR: Wage Order No. NCR-22.
 
Said order took effect last 22 November 2018, which provides minimum wage earners in the private sector in Metro Manila for an additional P25 per day in their basic wage which brings the minimum wage for the non-agriculture from P512 to P537. 
 
Meanwhile, workers in the agriculture, retail / service establishments employing 15 workers or less, and manufacturing establishments regularly employing less than 10 workers will receive a new minimum wage rate from P475 to P500. Wage Board-NCR considered the various criteria in setting the minimum wage under Republic Act 6727 or the Wage Rationalization Act as well the positions and recommendations of various organizations coming from labor, employers, concerned government agencies, and other stakeholders. 
 
Wage Order No. NCR-22 also recognize all workers paid by result, including those who are paid on piecework, takay, pakyaw, or task basis, and shall be entitled to receive the prescribed minimum wage per eight hours of work per day, or a proportion thereof for working less than eight hours.
