Over 1k students from Malabon City join labor education seminar
 
MALABON CITY—A total of 1255 participants join the ten sessions of free Labor Education for Graduating Students (LEGS) in Malabon City on March 8, 2019.
 
713 of the attendees were students are from the Public and Private Senior High Schools while the remaining 542 are from college and technical vocational institutes of the said city.
 
Malabon City local chief executive Antholin A. Oreta III spearheaded the implementation of the program in collaboration with the Department of Education, Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), Philippine Overseas Employment Agency (POEA) and its mother agency, the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).
  
LEGS is a regular program conducted by DOLE in coordination with the City Government through the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), Commission on Higher Education (CHED), POEA, and OWWA that aims to inform the soon-to-be jobseekers on the basic rights and benefits of workers.
