DOLE-NCR recognizes your right to data privacy and is committed to respect and protect your personal data privacy in accordance with the Data Privacy Act of 2012.
Our goal is to ensure that your personal data is protected from the time we collect them from you. We will provide individual clients and stakeholders an informed consent form whenever personal and/or sensitive personal data is collected as part of every transaction with our Office.
WHAT WE MAY COLLECT FROM YOU
The types of personal data we collect and process depend on the program or service that is subject of your transaction with our office. We collect your personal data when you transact with our employees and authorized representatives in our various divisions, units, and field offices. This may include, among others:
- Basic personal information like your name, date of birth, gender, marital status and citizenship including supporting documents such as government ID details
- Your contact details like your home address, mobile and telephone numbers
- Specimen signatures
- Education, employment and business details
- Employer’s details
HOW WE USE YOUR DATA
The collected personal information is utilized solely for documentation and processing purposes relative to your business/transaction (i.e. request for assistance, application for establishment registration, application for permits, application for TUPAD, etc.) with our office. These pieces of information will enable DOLE-NCR to properly address and process your concerns, requests and/or applications; forward them to appropriate internal offices or units for action; and provide clients with the appropriate action and/or updates in a legitimate format and in an orderly and timely manner.
HOW WE PROTECT YOUR DATA
DOLE-NCR implements data privacy and information security policies to maintain the integrity of any personal information in our possession. We have adequate security safeguards to protect your personal information from loss, unauthorized access, use or disclosure, and ensure the privacy and security of your personal data and transaction information which are as follows:
- We use several security techniques, such as deployment of Cloud Network Security and industry-standard Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption for transmission of information or wherever personal information is required to prevent security breaches and safeguard, physically and logically, all our servers and information systems.
- We restrict access to your personal data only to qualified and authorized personnel who hold your personal data with strict confidentiality.
- We have a designated Data Privacy Officer whose job is to ensure adherence to data privacy principles and implementation of safeguards for data protection.
- We require our third parties to protect personal data aligned with our own security standards.
- We retain your personal information by our Office as long as necessary for the fulfillment of purposes or as required to satisfy legal regulatory, accounting requirements and/or to protect the Office’s interests.

Under the Data Privacy Act of 2012, you have the following rights:
- Right to be informed;
- Right to object;
- Right to access;
- Right to rectify or correct erroneous data;
- Right to erase or block;
- Right to secure data portability;
- Right to be indemnified for damages; and
- Right to file a complaint
CONSENT
Submitting your data to DOLE-NCR signifies that you have read and understood the above Privacy Notice and expressly consent to the processing of your personal and/or sensitive personal information in the manner and for the purpose provided in this Notice. You understand and accept that this will include access to personal data and records submitted, which may be regarded as personal and/or sensitive personal data as provided under the Data Privacy Act of 2012.
Consenting to this Privacy Notice, however, does not waive any of your rights under the Data Privacy Act of 2012.
