Three (3) buoyant Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) hailing from the National Capital Region (NCR) have been selected by the National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC) as among the national finalists to the 2021 National Productivity Olympics Pandemic Edition, namely: 1) Sunlight Foods Corporation under Industry – Medium Category; 2) Compact Pharmaceuticals, Corp. under Industry – Small Category; and 3) HR Spectacles under Service – Micro Category.
Said national finalists were given the opportunity to showcase their business continuity plans and strategies towards their efforts to preserve employment, engage employees, and bolster economic recovery to address the impacts of the pandemic.
In line with this year’s theme “Bounce Back Better,” the finalists exhibited resiliency and a true commitment to social responsibility as observed throughout their presentation.
A solicitous approach in balancing productivity and environmental impact was among the highlights shared by Sunlight Foods Corporation Vice President for Operations, Crispin Muyrong Jr. as they tread the road to economic recovery.

HR Spectacles CEO Christopher Matsumoto and his team have always believed in the power of leveraging technology to facilitate remote work, which has been crucial during the pandemic. Matsumoto recognized their employees as their “lifeline” and “key drivers to success” in this time of immense disruption caused by the pandemic.
Finalists have undergone a rigorous process to determine their commitment to productive business practices amidst the pandemic. The criteria focused on assessing business continuity plans and strategies, employee preservation, as well as health and safety protocols.
A cash award amounting to P150,000, plaque of recognition, and priority endorsement to productivity training programs and services await the national winners. The virtual awarding ceremony to be hosted by NWPC will be held on October 21, 2021 in line with the celebration of Productivity and Quality Month.
