Some five (5) displaced workers in Quezon City have been awarded with free bicycle livelihood assistance under the BikeCINATION Project of the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) on December 15, 2021.

The DOLE-National Capital Region (NCR) through its Quezon City Field Office (QCFO) awarded the livelihood assistance in partnership with the Public Employment Service Office (PESO) of the Quezon City local government.

Per DOLE Administrative Order No. 136, series of 2021, the BikeCINATION is a special project under the DOLE Integrated Livelihood Program (DILP) that aims to incentivize workers in the A4 category who have completed the two (2) doses of COVID-19 vaccines. Said beneficiaries have been vaccinated on August and September 2021 respectively.

As part of the assistance package, each beneficiary received a bicycle unit and accessories such as helmet, thermal bag, reflectorized vest, lights, water bottle, and an android mobile phone with an electronic load wallet amounting to P5,000.00.

Labor and Employment Officers Mary Lauren B. Resulta and Isabela Usigan led the awarding ceremony on behalf of DOLE-NCR QCFO Director, Engr. Martin T. Jequinto. QC PESO Manager Rogelio Reyes and City Government Assistant Department Head III Alex Macabulos also joined the activity.
