The Department of Labor and Employment – National Capital Region (DOLE-NCR), through its MUNTAPARLAS Field Office (MTPLFO) awarded the Safety Seal Certificate to Haskell Philippines, Inc. during its “2 Million Safe Manhours without Loss Time Injury (LTI)” celebration on July 15, 2022 at the Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints (LDS) Temple Project Site, Filinvest Avenue corner Corporate Avenue, Barangay Alabang, Muntinlupa City.
MTPLFO Director Leonides Castillon, Jr. awarded the Seal to Haskell Philippines, Inc. representatives, comprising of Project Manager Ronald Rey Tulod, Construction Manager Paulo Alexander Azevedo, Project Safety Coordinator Mark Roland Rogio, and Regional Safety Manager Jeffrey Acosta.
In his congratulatory message, Director Castillon, Jr. emphasized the value of upholding safety and health in the workplace, particularly the welfare of their workers. He further said that the conferred Safety Seal is an evidence of effective implementation of their Construction Safety and Health Programs (CSHP) in all their construction sites and ensuring its compliance with the DOLE Department Order No. 13-1998 or the “Guidelines Governing the Safety and Health in the Construction Industry.”
“Mahirap po mag-produce ng mga workers, skilled workers at that. We could not compare our human resources to the equipment and other tools na ginagamit natin dito sa construction projects. Ang tao ay ilang buwan bago ipanganak, at ‘pag pinanganak ‘yan we have to form that person to be a skilled worker. Mahirap kung sa isang aksidente ay mawala ang isang worker. Kailangan po natin panatilihin na sumunod sa safety and health protocols and safety and health policies,” he said.
Said establishment also recognized employees who complied to their safety and health protocols and those who demonstrated excellence at work.
