CALOOCAN CITY – The Department of Labor and Employment – National Capital Region (DOLE-NCR) through its CAMANAVA Field Office (CFO) called for more than four thousand establishments to a free virtual orientation on General Labor Standards (GLS) and Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS).

Senior Labor Inspector Mark Jerome Sibal confirmed that the DOLE-NCR CFO has recorded a 103.42% accomplishment rate for the routine inspection in 2021 where its inspectors collectively reached 3,332 inspected establishments surpassing the target figure of only 3,221.

CFO Director Rowella V. Grande emphasized in her message that the objective of the program is to aid the companies in preparing for the yearly inspection. The Director also said that compliance with the GLS and OSHS without compromising the benefits due to the employees should be the utmost priority.

“Yung target natin this year hindi lang dun sa higher accomplishment rate. Gusto natin i-make sure na itong mga kumpanya ay maging fair sa labor practices even without our watch, even without the benefit of inspection,” she added.

The orientation was held for the entire month of January, beginning January 11, 2022 with 50 participants in order to accommodate the companies who signified for their participation.
