The Department of Labor and Employment – National Capital Region (DOLE-NCR) conducted its 2022 Year-End Performance Assessment (YEPA) at the Ramada Hotel, Manila, on December 20-21, 2022.

Said event included the capacity building and skills development training on Employment Facilitation Services and a year-end recognition for Public Employment Service Offices (PESO) in Metro Manila and partners from private companies.

DOLE-NCR Regional Director, Atty. Sarah Buena S. Mirasol graced the occasion together with Assistant Regional Directors, Atty. Jude Thomas P. Trayvilla and Atty. Russel A. Jallorina.

The senior officials thanked and lauded the PESOs and program partners for their valuable contribution, dedication and sacrifices, specifically during the height of the pandemic because they made the Department’s programs accessible to their constituents.

DOLE-NCR Employment Promotion and Workers Welfare (EPWW) Division representatives, Mr. Rey D. Sanglay (then Officer-in-Charge) and Mr. Ryan Roberto Delos Reyes (Senior Labor and Employment Officer) discussed the Revised Search for Best PESO (SBP) Manual and some key areas for improvement, followed by a workshop on the documentation and evaluation of SBP entries, and the participants’ presentation of outputs.

The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) also took part in the activity, with its representatives, Ms. Belinda Castro and Ms. Lucita Dela Peña leading the discussion on “Strengthening Initiatives for Balanced Growth and Opportunities at the Localities” and “Orientation on the Workforce Development Plan,” respectively.

The performance assessment and planning exercise commenced on the second day followed by the year-end recognition ceremonies in the afternoon. Among the conferred awards were the Secretary’s Bayanihan Service Award, COVID-19 Humanitarian Award, Employment Service Award for Local Chief Executives and PESO Managers, DOLE-NCR Field Office Recognition, and Best Performing PESO per Core Program.

The recognized program partners were Astoria Plaza Hotel; The Table Group, Incorporated; Kumori Japanese Bakery and Café; Radio Wealth Finance Corporation; KNC Group of Companies; 861 Dragon Fish Company; JBC Food Corporation; DTI Consumer Policy and Advocacy Bureau; Robinson Place Manila; Philippine Association of Legitimate Service Contractors (PALSCON);; Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA), and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority – National Capital Region (TESDA-NCR).
