The annual celebration of Philippine Independence aims to commemorate the sacrifices made by the nation’s forefathers and heroes who fought valiantly to achieve the country’s freedom. It is a way to honor the pivotal roles they played in the struggles for Philippine sovereignty.

In order to be attuned with the demands of time, the celebration of Independence Day is not just contained to military parades and delivery of patriotic speeches but it evolved to activities that showcase Filipino talents and ingenuity as well as the people’s indomitable spirit of preserving peace and democracy.

As the region and the country in general are still reeling the adverse effects of the health crisis in both economy and employment, it is therefore befitting that the hope of the nation, the Filipino youth, take the center stage.
