The Manila Field Office (MFO) of the Department of Labor and Employment – National Capital Region (DOLE-NCR), officially welcomed its new leaders in a turnover ceremony on January 10, 2023.

During the formal turnover, Atty. Joel P. Petaca, received from outgoing Director Ma. Corazon M. Pepito the symbolic key of leadership as the designated OIC-Director II of MFO.

In his acceptance speech, OIC-Director Petaca said that he is committed to ensuring that the programs and services of DOLE-NCR are continuously delivered to the public with sincerity and integrity. He also expressed his gratitude to the officials of DOLE-NCR for their full support and confidence in his leadership. Likewise, he thanked outgoing Director Pepito for assisting him during the transition.

Additionally, Mr. Rey D. Sanglay was also formally introduced as the designated Supervising Labor and Employment Officer of the Manila Field Office. In his message, Mr. Sanglay assured that he will assist OIC-Director Petaca in leading the Manila Field Office and that he will closely oversee the employment facilitation programs and services.

Key officials who witnessed the event are DOLE-NCR Regional Director, Atty. Sarah Buena S. Mirasol and DOLE-NCR Assistant Regional Directors, Atty. Russel A. Jallorina and Atty. Jude Thomas P. Trayvilla. Partner organizations of DOLE-NCR Manila Field Office including the Manila Tripartite Industrial Peace Council (Manila TIPC) and Education Industry Tripartite Council (Education ITC) also joined the ceremony.

Prior to Mr. Sanglay’s designation as Supervising LEO of the Manila Field Office, he was then Officer-in-Charge of DOLE-NCR Technical Services and Support Division – Employment Promotion and Workers’ Welfare (TSSD-EPWW). On the other hand, OIC-Director Petaca was previously designated as then OIC of DOLE-NCR Makati-Pasay Field Office (MPFO) and Quezon City Field Office (QCFO).
