(Metro Manila, Philippines) The best performing employees and offices at the Department of Labor and Employment – National Capital Region (DOLE-NCR) were finally named during the PRAISE Awarding Ceremony at the Rizal Park Open Air Auditorium, Manila, on December 14, 2022.
Held annually, the Program on Awards and Incentives for Service Excellence (PRAISE) aims to recognize the most outstanding employees and offices on the following categories: Loyalty Award, Career & Self-Development Award, Best Labor & Employment Education (LEES) Implementer, Best Single Entry Assistance Desk Officer (SEADO) of the Year, Best Tripartite Industrial Peace Council (TIPC) Implementer, Best Hearing Officer, Best Labor Inspector, Best Performing SPES Focal Person, Best Performing TUPAD Focal Person, Best Performing Livelihood Focal Person, Best Sheriff of the Year, Best Performing Special Disbursing Officer Designate, Best Performing Human Resource (HR) Designate, Best Performing Information Officer (IO) Designate, Best Performing Anti-Red Tape Act (ARTA) Office, Best Quality Management System (QMS) Office Implementer, Best Field Office in Employment Facilitation, Best Field Office in Workers Welfare, Innovation Award, and Model Employee Award.
In her inspirational message, DOLE-NCR Regional Director, Atty. Sarah Buena S. Mirasol saluted all employees of the Department for their dedication and hardwork.
“I am forever grateful for your valuable contributions. Maraming salamat sa inyong mga sakripisyo and for going beyond the call of your duties,” she said.
DOLE-NCR Assistant Regional Directors, Atty. Russel A. Jallorina and Atty. Jude Thomas P. Trayvilla joined Director Mirasol in conferring the awards together with the respective Field Office Directors and Division Heads of the nominees and winners.

DOLE-NCR also recognized the best performing offices aside from individual awards. The Internal Management Services Division (IMSD) and Makati-Pasay Field Office (MPFO) were named the Best Performing ARTA Office; CAMANAVA Field Office (CFO) and Technical Support & Services Division – Labor Relations / Labor Standards (TSSD-LRLS) as the Best QMS Office Implementer; Makati-Pasay Field Office as the Best Field Office in Employment Facilitation; and MUNTAPARLAS Field Office as the Best Field Office in Workers Welfare.
Meanwhile, the ceremony also gave way for Atty. Olivia Obrero-Samson’s official oath-taking for being appointed as full-fledged Director II of Makati-Pasay Field Office.

DOLE-NCR also recognized Labor Secretary Bienvenido E. Laguesma’s conferment of the ‘Certificate of Commendation’ to Atty. Mirasol, Atty. Jallorina, and Atty. Trayvilla last December 5, 2022 for consistently achieving an Outstanding Career Executive Service Performance Evaluation System (CESPES) ratings for the Second Semester 2021 and First Semester 2022.
In recognition for their unwavering public service, the regional office also had a special ceremony for the retirement of Ms. Ma. Corazon M. Pepito, outgoing Director of the Manila Field Office and Ms. Maria Lerma D. Jimenez, outgoing Senior LEO of the Makati-Pasay Field Office.
Several bands and dance groups from the Department also performed during the program, such as Mighty Duxz Troop, MaCaNaVa Band, Pegasus Club, EPWOW Dance Group, MUNTAPARLAS Chorale Group, Bokal Band with Kendeng Girls, Da Duo’s, Good Vibes Band, Chugi Band, and Bagani.
