The regional office of the Department of Labor and Employment in the National Capital Region (DOLE-NCR) sustained its ISO 9001:2015 certification during its second surveillance audit by the Certification International Philippines, Inc. (CIPI) on December 11, 2020.
CIPI representative and lead auditor Sofia S. Mangahas led the three-man-day surveillance audit, which aims to assess the maintenance and effectiveness of DOLE-NCR’s management system against specified audit requirements for continued certification.
DOLE-NCR’s regional and its field offices in Manila (MFO), Makati-Pasay (MPFO), and PAPAMAMARISAN (Pasig, Pateros, Mandaluyong, Marikina, and San Juan) were the selected areas of assessment by CIPI through sampling.
Mangahas along with support auditors Liza G. Rosal and Doreen R. Dahilig interviewed the process owners on the provision of government labor and employment related services, such as the issuance of permits and licenses, registration of labor organizations and collective bargaining agreements, employment facilitation, and provision of livelihood and employment assistance.
Among other crucial areas examined were the agency’s internal management services, including the procurement, accounting and budget, human resource, and customer satisfaction and feedback handling.
DOLE-NCR Regional Director Sarah Buena S. Mirasol lauded the efforts of the employees and the ISO / Quality Management System (QMS) team composed of Quality Management Representative Regienald S. Espaldon; Audit Program Manager Maria Luisa Khristina C. Oliveros; Audit Team Leader Ronald S. Del Rosario; Internal Quality Audit Leads Julita G. Mendoza and Kareen Joy M. Tongo; Internal Quality Auditors Ria C. Banayag and Jesse Erickson M. Bactin; and QMS Support staff John Paul P. Tongo, Ronald P. Rosales, and Aries A. Librando.
