The Department of Labor and Employment – National Capital Region (DOLE-NCR) reminded private employers in Metro Manila to submit their 13th Month Pay Report on or before January 15, 2021.
However, in view of the COVID-19 preventive measures, DOLE-NCR Regional Director Sarah Buena S. Mirasol said that companies in NCR may now file said report by accessing their online form at http://bit.ly/NCR-13thmonthreporting.
“Though we still allow employers to personally file their compliance report, we highly advise establishments in NCR to make use of our online form. Apart from giving our employers the convenience to avoid overcrowding our premises to control the spread of COVID-19, this would also efficiently improve our internal systems and processes,” Director Mirasol said.
Presidential Decree No. 851 requires all employers to pay their rank and file employees a 13th-Month Pay, which is defined as one-twelfth (1/12) of the basic salary of an employee within a calendar year.
Under said law, employers are also mandated to annually submit their 13-Month Pay compliance report to the nearest DOLE regional office not later than January 15th.
Said compliance report must include the following: name and address of establishment; principal product or business; total employment; total number of workers benefited; amount granted per employee; total amount of benefits granted; and name, position and telephone number of the company representative providing the information.
