The City of Mandaluyong hold an awarding ceremony to recognize its partners for development that contributed to the City’s effective implementation of social services.
The ceremony is annually held to commemorate Mandaluyong’s liberation from the Japanese in World War II and the conferment of its Cityhood through Republic Act 7675.
On February 17, 2020, Mandaluyong City Local Chief Executive Carmelita Abalos awarded recognition to DOLE-NCR representatives Ryan Roberto E. Delos Reyes, Senior Labor Employment Officer (LEO) of the Employment Promotion and Workers Welfare Division; and Alicia Del Mundo, Supervising LEO of the PAPAMAMARISAN Field Office for their contributions to Mandaluyong City’s employment-related initiatives.
Delos Reyes was also recognized as partner for career and employment development for his participation in the City’s initiatives to help address skills mismatch through advocacies on labor market information, career guidance, and employment coaching. The City also appreciated his lecture on the 4th Industrial Revolution wherein he capacitated various school personnel of the education institutions in Mandaluyong.
The recognitions received by the Public Employment Service Office of the City was also presented during the awarding ceremony. Mandaluyong PESO Manager Emma L. Javier presented to Mayor Abalos the awards from DOLE-NCR that made the latter beam with pride; an indication of the chief executive’s appreciation of the performance of the PESO that contributed to the City’s growth both in economy and employment.
Also present during the ceremony are the officers and staff of the Municipality of Kabayan, Benguet for the signing of the Sisterhood Agreement with Mandaluyong City to foster a strong partnership between the said LGUs.
