Over 8,000 vacancies are up for grabs this coming “Pasayahin 2022 K-12 Job Fair” on December 1, 2022 at the Cuneta Astrodome, Pasay City.

The job fair is in line with the labor department’s celebration of its 89th anniversary and Pasay City’s 159th founding anniversary.

The regional office of the Department of Labor and Employment in the National Capital Region (DOLE-NCR) are coordinating the activities in partnership with the City Government of Pasay’s Public Employment Service Office (PESO).

As of press time, a total of 8,225 vacancies are available, with 7,347 of which are from local employers while the remaining 878 are from overseas recruitment agencies.

Some of the vacancies for local employment include customer service representatives, cashiers, housekeeping attendants, dining staff, baristas, kitchen helpers, service crews, baggers, drivers, and room attendants.

Meanwhile, vacant positions for overseas employment include nurses, seafarers, hotel/cruise ship workers, construction workers, caregivers, welders, electricians, nail technicians, butchers, and beauticians. Possible countries of destination are in Japan, Australia, Croatia, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Papua New Guinea, Czech Republic, and more.

For a smoother application process, applicants are also advised to bring copies of basic pre-employment requirements, especially resume/curriculum vitae.

Other government agencies will also join to offer one-stop-shop services for applicants to take advantage of, including PSA’s birth and marriage certificates, BIR’s TIN, SSS’s advisory on social protection, Pag-Ibig’s advisory on housing, PhilHealth’s advisory on policies, NBI’s issuance of clearance, and DOLE’s free legal assistance and career counseling.
