Pateros Mayor Miguel F. Ponce III bestowed a Plaque of Recognition to the Department of Labor and Employment – National Capital Region (DOLE-NCR) on July 19, 2021 for its unceasing effort to support and guide their Public Employment Service Office (PESO) in improving the delivery of employment facilitation for their constituents.

DOLE-NCR Senior LEO Ryan Roberto E. Delos Reyes from the Employment Promotion and Workers Welfare Division received the award for his constant guidance and mentoring for the PESO Pateros to help improve their work processes in effectively providing job and livelihood opportunities to its citizens.

The award was conferred during the Municipality’s regular flag raising ceremony at the Pateros Municipal Hall.

Known as the lone first class municipality in the NCR, the Municipality of Pateros, together with its PESO, has been revamping its approach in delivering service to its constituents since August 2019 but the onset of the pandemic presented a greater challenge for their PESO to execute its mandate. Nevertheless, their PESO persevered and continued to perform its duties and responsibilities—even becoming one of the regional winners of the Secretary’s Bayanihan Service Award. Said award by the labor department is granted in recognition to PESOs that continuously exemplifies innovation, resiliency, and humanitarian service amidst the on-going pandemic.

The award conferred by the Municipality of Pateros symbolizes their gratitude for DOLE-NCR through Delos Reyes, who played an important role in molding their PESO.
