Aiming for a greener environment for its citizens, the Parañaque City Local Government Unit (LGU) tapped their 406 constituents through the labor department’s TUPAD or the Tulong Panghanapbuhay sa Ating Disadvantaged / Displaced Workers Program for its city-wide greening project in September 2022.

Of the said total beneficiaries, 336 of the TUPAD workers had rendered temporary work from September 12 to 26, 2022 to clean the streets and sidewalks, and assist in the maintenance of school and daycare facilities. The remaining 70 beneficiaries, on the other hand, have rendered work from September 12 to 21, 2022 to assist on various vegetation planting or gardening projects.

Before they set out to their respective TUPAD projects, the beneficiaries underwent an orientation led by DOLE-NCR MUNTAPARLAS Field Office Director Leonides P. Castillon Jr.

Said orientation, held at the Brgy. San Antonio Multi-Purpose Gym, Valley 1, Parañaque City, was also in collaboration with the Office of 1st District Representative of Parañaque, Edwin L. Olivarez; Office of the City Government of Parañaque, Mayor Eric L. Olivarez through its City Environment and Natural Resources Office; and the Office of Senator Ronald Dela Rosa.
