The Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board – National Capital Region (RTWPB-NCR) pledged their support for the Valenzuela City Tripartite Industrial Peace Council’s (VCTIPC) strategic plans for the year 2020-2022.

Other agencies that pledged support were the Regional Conciliation and Mediation Board (RCMB) – NCR, Occupational Safety and Health Center (OSHC), DOLE-NCR through its CAMANAVA Field Office, Valenzuela City Public Employment Service Office (PESO), and Occupational Safety Officers Association of Valenzuela, Inc.

The activity defined the future direction and served as the blueprint of VCTIPC for the implementation of its project and activities for the 3-year operational period.

The plan will focus on six priority strategies, such as the: 1) Maintenance and Sustainable Industrial Peace; 2) Improve Occupational Safety and Health Conditions in Workplaces; 3) Increase Opportunities for Gainful Employment and Enhancement of Skills; 4) Enhance Productivity in Workplaces; 5) Continuous Capacity Building and Strengthening at All Levels; and 6) Launch Marketing and Awareness-raising Campaign for Greater Recognition and Appreciation of VCTIPC.

With said strategies, it is hoped to attain a more focused and effective interventions, resulting to greater outreach, sustainability and impact. The strategies were designed in alignment with the mission and vision of Valenzuela City as well as the mandates and goals of TIPC in general. This has been a product of long-term planning and discussions involving concerned public and private stakeholders and other partner organizations in the locality.

RTWPB-NCR was assigned as the lead implementer for Strategic Priority No. 4: “Enhance Productivity in Workplaces.” Together with DOLE-NCR CAMANAVA Field Office, the wage board will provide assistance to MSMEs in Valenzuela through productivity training and services that will help transform MSMEs into a more productive, innovative and competitive enterprise in the area.
